The Mission of the Davis Lady Demons is to provide a positive environment in which girls can be challenged to improve their physical and mental game, play with other girls who have the same desire to work hard and compete, and who are willing to be part of a team environment in which individual glory comes behind team accomplishment.

 

History

In July 2003, founders Steve & Kit Boschken, Chuck Temple, and David & Kären Dickerson desired to establish a competitive softball venue for their children to compete and foster their softball skills. The new board decided that the best course would be to establish an ASA traveling team, and have the founding members coach the team. With the procurement of Davis’ best players and the enthusiastic help of their parents, Davis ASA, Inc. and the Davis Lady Demons were formed.

In 2005, the Lady Demons had 3 teams competing-10U, 12U-B and 14U-A. In 2006, teams competed at the 12U-A, 12U-B and 16U levels with our 12U-A team qualifying for the 2006 NSA Super World Series in East Peoria, Illiniois.

The 2007 12U-A team qualified and played in the Triple Crown World Series in Park City, Utah in July, 2007. They also were invited to and played in the 2007 Class A, 12 and Under USA/ASA National Championships in Roseville, CA where they tied for 33rd place out of the 64 teams entered.

For the 2008 season we are fielding a new 12U-A team and a 14U-A team. Both teams have qualified and will be attending their respective Triple Crown World Series events in Utah. These teams have both had a strong start in their first spring tournaments and we look forward to a sizzling summer of Lady Demon Softball.

The Lady Demons hope to continue to expand our program with the goal of having competitive teams from 10U through the 18 Gold levels. Come be a part of the best competitve fastpitch softball program in Yolo County.
